jubilee books

Old and new become more

Ideas that move the world. This is the motto of the Frankfurter Buchmesse opening its doors today. And we asked ourselves the question, is reading books still contemporary at all?

Our subjective answer: Yes! Depending on context and content, of course. But the number of jubilee books we have designed and produced in recent years speaks for itself.

We have recalculated: With the book pages designed and implemented by com-a-tec, we could wallpaper the entire wall surface of a comfortable 3-room apartment – approx. 300 m².

What is the reason for this? On the one hand, it is determined by the topic and the fact that we prepare exciting stories that range from the past to the future and tell of pioneers, visionaries, inventors, doers and companies who have shaped their time. On the other hand, it is also because old and new media can be wonderfully combined in a book. In keeping with the leitmotif that runs through the company's history, we combine haptic experiences such as paper, print finishing and processing with the emotionality and added value of new technologies. It is not unusual for books to combine lasered envelopes, partial lamination and much more with integrated image sections, videos and sound recordings.

And that brings us thematically very close to the programme content of this year's Buchmesse – artificial intelligence and augmented reality. What will the future bring? It remains exciting.

One thing is certain for us: the printed book is not yet out as a lasting memory for young and old!

In addition to anniversary books, together with our partner of many years D.I.E. Firmenhistoriker, we implemented history marketing projects of all kinds and sizes. Project examples can be found at firmenhistoriker.de
